Whey isolate undergoes additional filtration, resulting in a higher protein content (typically above 90%) with less lactose and fat. Concentrate generally contains 70–80% protein and retains more lactose and fat.
Whey isolate has a very low lactose content due to the extra filtration process. Many people with mild lactose intolerance tolerate it well, but those with severe sensitivity should try a small amount first.
Mix one serving with water or milk in a shaker or blender. Whey isolate dissolves well even when stirred with a spoon. Adjust the amount of liquid to achieve your preferred consistency.
